Corey Taylor Reads From His New 'Seven Deadly Sins' Book -- Exclusive Video
John Michael Cooper
Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has lived enough in his 37 years to fill up two lifetimes. Even before he became a bona fide rock star, the Iowa native was already living a life filled with hard-drinking and drugging. When Slipknot's popularity exploded, Taylor took his already over-the-top lifestyle to new levels of debauchery. Soon after, the singer began to explore how the concept of sin was defined. He wanted to know if sinning could or should be seen in an entirely different light.
In his new book, 'Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good,' Taylor opens up the discussion through his personal story. A compelling read, the book is a refreshing journey through an age-old concept and its definition. The warts-and-all approach he uses in his lyrical approach is used in 'Seven Deadly Sins' to winning effect.
In this Noisecreep exclusive, we bring you a video of Taylor at one of his promotional stops for 'Seven Deadly Sins.' In the clip you can see him reading excerpts from the new book plus an acoustic performance of Stone Sour's 'Hesitate,' from Hollywood's legendary Book Soup.
