DevilDriver vocalist Dez Fafara and Lamb of God guitarist are writing new songs together.
Through a series of Tweets on both of their personal Twitter pages, the musicians revealed that they have begun working on new material together. "So, it's still totally off the radar, but @evilriver & I have been writing a bunch of KILLER tunes! Not sure when or where it'll come to lite," said Morton via Twitter on 9/8. In another Tweet, Fafara compares the music to Circus of Power meets 'Badmotorfinger' era Soundgarden. Morton also cited Chicago doom masters Trouble as an influence on the tunes.
For Noisecreep readers who might not be familiar with Circus of Power, they were a NYC-based outfit that released three major label studio albums in the late '80s and early '90s before splitting up. Their sound mined from the same influences as groups like AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and mid-period The Cult.
Stay tuned to Noisecreep in the coming weeks for more information on the collaboration.
