Last night at their concert at Ginásio Nilson Nelson in Brasilia, Brazil, Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford fell off a motorcycle during his intro.
The accident happened before Priest launched into 'Hell Bent for Leather,' the storming 1978 song the British icons have been opening their sets with for years. In the fan-captured video below, you can see Halford ride in and then topple over in front of guitarist Glenn Tipton's side of the stage. After a few seconds, the Metal God gets back up after being aided by one of the band's techs. He performed the rest of the concert with no visible issues. No word yet from Judas Priest's management about the accident or the singer's condition.
Judas Priest is out on their 'Epitaph' farewell tour which will run into 2012. Joining the band on guitars is Richie Faulkner, a UK-based musician that played in Lauren Harris' solo band before hooking up with the legendary metal group. He replaced longtime axeman KK Downing who retired from the band in April of this year. Check out of all the tour dates at this link and below the cut for the video of Halford falling off the motorcycle.
