Tenacious D Make Surprise Appearance at Los Angeles Event

Just a few moments later, Jack Black, Kyle Gass, John Konesky and John Spiker - the guys from Wackerman's other band, Tenacious D - graced the stage and the place went into meltdown mode.
Kicking off with their tongue and cheek anthem 'The Metal,' and continuing through a punchy, energetic 15-minute set, Tenacious D raised the roof on a show that had already all but elevated the crowd. Donning a black Dio tour jacket, Black was his wild-eyed, metal maven self and added a major musical exclamation mark to an already thrilling evening.
Tenacious D will release their third studio album, 'The Rise of the Phoenix,' which will hit stores sometime in 2012.
