Sir Christopher Lee Heavy Metal Album: Legendary British Actor to Release 'Charlemagne: The Omens of Death'

Later this summer, the legendary British film star will be releasing Charlemagne: The Omens of Death, his second heavy metal album. "His second heavy metal album?!" you ask.
In 2010 Lee released Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross, a symphonic metal album whic won the 'Spirit of Hammer' award from the 2010 Metal Hammer Golden God awards ceremony. The award was presented to the iconic actor by Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi.
Lee was first introduced to heavy metal when he was approached by Italian band Rhapsody of Fire to contribute narration pieces to their 2004 concept album, Symphony of Enchanted Lands II: The Dark Secrets. He's also worked with sword and sandal miscreants Manowar.
Knighted for services to drama and charity in 2009, Lee's most famous roles include Count Dracula in the Hammer Horror films, Saruman in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Count Dooku in the Stars Wars prequels. He's also worked five times with director Tim Burton since 1999 including roles in Sleepy Hollow and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
