Texas Hippie Coalition Wrote 'Turn It Up' for All Strippers - Video Premiere

Texas Hippie Coalition's video for "Turn It Up," which Noisecreep is pleased to exclusively premiere today, features the band performing its signature brand of Texas Red Dirt Metal, spliced with footage of exotic dancers doing their thing and demonstrating their talents on stripper poles. Metal and strippers? That's almost as good a combo as metal and Satan!

There are crushing riffs and lots of hot bodies in the strip club. Notice the details, like the Blessed Mother figurine on the dash of the car in the plot footage or the crucifix necklace placed on the rear view mirror! Then there is the photo of the late, great Dimebag Darrell on the wall. Dime was a lover (and owner) of strip joints, so it's a nice touch! Nice work, THC.

THC leader and frontman Big Dad Ritch spoke about the treatment for the vid, saying, "For this video, I knew I was gonna use [director] Clark Deal. His talent lends itself. See how sexy it is... seductive, sultry, yet still rugged and dark."

Ritch also opened up about the song itself, saying, "'Turn It Up' is just a fun song I wrote so girls could dance on poles to some heavy rock 'n' roll instead of hip-hop and pop dance all the time." That is certainly a noble goal and one that we endorse.

He finished, "[We] pay little homage to Pantera's Vinnie Paul in the song, as well as sneak a lil' Dime in the video.The song is really about being addicted to music. This music is powerful, in-your-face, full of attitude, outlaw Red Dirt Metal. After you watch this video, you will test positive for THC! NOW TURN IT UP!"

The vid captures what it's like to be at a THC show and in a strip club, with acrobatic, um, aerobicizing women. We'll take that positive diagnosis, Ritch!

"Turn It Up" is available now on iTunes will also appear on Peacemaker, Texas Hippie Coalition's upcoming album which will hit stores on Aug. 14.
