Throw the Fight Turn the 'Lights Out for Summer' - Song Premiere
Josh Stokes
According to vocalist, James Clark, "Lights Out For Summer" has a very specific lyrical message. "It is a song about feeling trapped in a world where you don't belong," Clark told Noisecreep. "We have all been in situations where no matter what you do, you're never going to be accepted. You're either not good looking enough, rich enough or cool enough. This is a song of hope for those that have been looked over by the rest of the world. It's a song about being yourself and understanding that tomorrow can always be better than today if you give it a chance. It's about holding on and having faith when you feel like letting go."
Guitarist Ryan Baustert chimed in about What Doesn't Kill Us as a whole, saying, "This record has been a long time in the works so we're really excited to get this in people's hands and start touring in support of it. It's been a long journey just to get to this point. But in the big scheme of things, we're just getting started."
Throw the Fight's debut album, What Doesn't Kill Us, comes out June 26 via Bullet Tooth. Pre-order the album at this link.
