The Drama Behind Papa Roach Singer Jacoby Shaddix's Throat Issues (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

The hard rock world was recently hit with the news that Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix was having serious throat issues. The problem became so grave that the band had to bow out of the UPROAR Tour in late August. With a new album hitting stores in October, the timing couldn't have been worse for Shaddix and the group.

"I first noticed it towards the end of recording of our new record," Shaddix told Rolling Stone in a recent interview. "At the end of the day, I was super hoarse and then the next day, I'd wake up all backed up and I could barely talk. We were in the studio until a few days before we went out on the road and that's when it put a nail in it."

Shaddix has since undergone surgery to repair the years of damage he had put on his vocal cords, and is in fighting shape, ready to start promoting The Connection, their new album.
