Horror Flicks on VHS: Metal Blade Records Publicist Kelli Malella Picks Her Favorites (PHOTO GALLERY)
Jordan Goldstein, Metal Blade
Noisecreep has the pleasure of working with many record label publicists on a daily basis, but Kelli Malella is easily one of our favorite. Handling the PR for artists like Cannibal Corpse, King Diamond and Amon Amarth, the Metal Blade Records metal maven is one of the busiest people in the music industry. That's why Noisecreep is honored to have Malella, a horror film connoisseur, contribute to the site today in honor of Halloween.
From Metal Blade's Kelli Malella:
I love horror movies. The scary ones, the goofy ones, the gory ones, the artsy ones, the ones that are meant to be serious but don't even come close... I love them all. While I don't need a holiday to give me an excuse to watch a horror movie, shit-howdy do I love the barrage of horror that riddles AMC's Fear Fest every year. But even with countless horror movies being played on cable TV during the Halloween season, I believe there are some real gems out there that people are missing out on as they weren't major releases, aren't considered Cult Classics, or aren't even available on DVD/Blu-ray.
That being said, here is a list of my Top 5 Obscure Horror Films with a little bonus I found while looking through my personal VHS collection.
