Machine Head, Banned at House of Blues: Disney Doesn't Allow Group to Perform Scheduled Concert

The feud continues. For the third time, Walt Disney Properties have asked Live Nation to cancel Machine Head's Dec. 4 performance at Disney's House of Blues in Orlando, Fla., according to a statement from the group's label, Roadrunner Records.

Other performers slated to take the stage, Dethklok, All That Remains, and Black Dahlia Murder are still scheduled to play, but sources close to the label say that Machine Head is on a "banned list" at Disney.

In 2007, Machine Head was banned from the House Of Blues venues in Anaheim and Orlando, citing "violent imagery", "inflammatory lyrics" and "undesirable fans" as the reason. After being told the group is on a review process, Disney told Machine Head they had "changed musical formats" and they wouldn't be welcome to perform days before the group was set to take the stage.

Now, five years later, Machine Head once again voiced their discontent with Disney, saying: "Machine Head wish to once again extend their gratitude to Live Nation and the House Of Blues for their poise and tolerance throughout these ridiculous developments, unbelievably transpiring here in these United States Of America in this year 2012...As they are not on Disney property and therefore not subject to the corporation's alleged coercionary tactics, the current dates with Dethklok, All That Remains and The Black Dahlia Murder at the Dallas and Houston House Of Blues will go on as scheduled. Unfortunately, Machine Head's Florida performance will not be rescheduled in an effort to avoiding creating any conflict with the existing dates on the tour."
