It's been four whole years since Incubus released 'Light Grenades,' but frontman Brandon Boyd is back in the spotlight for his debut solo album, entitled 'The Wild Trapeze.' The video for his first single, 'Runaway Train,' features stop-motion animation and striking, sepia-toned imagery. Have a look below.

Jada Pinkett Smith Reflects on 'Rough' Ozzfest Experience

If your average metal fan were given the opportunity to curate an Ozzfest line-up, chances are slim that actress Jada Pinkett Smith would be at the top of their list. But back in 2005, Mrs. Fresh Prince herself actually took the stage with her 'melodic metal' band Wicked Wisdom as a second-stage act on the tour.

As you can probably imagine, results were mixed. "At first it was a little rough," she said on a recent episode of 'Lopez Tonight.' "I was getting death threats and all kinds of things." Still, the actress stayed positive throughout the experience, adding, "But we went out there and after the first week, we got our feet on the ground. We finished in Florida, and we made ... somewhat of an impression."

St. Louis four-piece Cavo found the perfect backdrop for 'Crash,' the video for the second single off of their latest full-length release, 'Bright Nights * Dark Days.' The grunge rockers took to an old auto wrecking yard in Sun Valley, Calif. for the clip, providing a gritty aesthetic to complement their melodic but hard rocking tune. While the band plays, a woman leaves her boyfriend in bed to embark on some soul searching.

Mudvayne, 'Heard It All Before' -- Song Stream

Illinois rockers Mudvayne are giving fans a taste of the retro metal sound they can expect more of when the band releases its self-titled fifth studio album in December. The first single, 'Heard It All Before,' is an unrestrained, riff-heavy track that frontman Chad Gray tells Noisecreep is about "the frustration and danger of being human."

The band members found their inspiration for the skull crushing tune by leaving civilization and seeking isolation at Sonic Ranch studio in Texas. "It was a great studio space but as usual we go into complete isolation mode when we record," Gray tells Noisecreep. "If you needed some t.p., it was an hour and a half round trip ... but on the flip side we've recorded in Chicago where everything is readily available, and I think I wrote two lines a month."
