Ian Astbury (The Cult)

Ian Astbury has shed light on various aspects of indigenous culture throughout his 30-year career fronting The Cult and now he's zeroed in even more on a specific plight — the horrific history of Native American women. While it’s not a charity, it is a cause: Astbury is one of the producers of a documentary called Conquest, based on Andrea Smith's book Conquest: Sexual Violence and American Indian Genocide.
